The Health Economics group investigates the implications of child health, from prenatal to teenage years, for future adult health, human capital, and family well-being. We use rich data sources to analyze the effects of children’s adverse health events, such as hospitaliza-tions, on their development and their family’s well-being. We also evaluate the impact of public policies on children’s health and development, such as cash transfers to families or anti-bullying programs implemented in schools. Our group aims to better understand the relationship between child health and human capital and inform policy decisions related to child health and well-being.
