Structure of the Master's programme in Social and Cultural Anthropology - Major 90 as of fall semester 2024

Student research is at the centre of the Master's degree programme. You take modules to prepare your research, conduct research either in the field, in the museum or in the library amd write up your first research report in a follow-up colloquium. This culminates in a Master's thesis. You will also deal with anthropological theories and attend thematic modules. In addition, you can choose modules on methods, regional modules, reading courses and a lecture series. You can complete the Master's programme in four semesters.
