I am the founder of an e-commerce company that sells children's toys on Amazon and via its own website.

What are the three main tasks in your job?

The three main tasks in my job are the strategic management of the company, the optimisation of sales processes on various platforms and the continuous development of the product range.

What do you think is the best / most exciting thing about this job?

The best thing about this job is the opportunity to set up and run your own business, as well as the constant development and adaptation to the changing e-commerce market.

What is the biggest challenge in this job?

The biggest challenge is being successful in a highly competitive market, dealing with operational challenges and always finding innovative solutions.

What does it take to enter this profession or to be successful in it?

Success in this profession requires a combination of entrepreneurial thinking, a willingness to take risks and the ability to learn and adapt.

What opportunities for advancement/further development are there?

Promotion and development opportunities include expanding the product range, opening up new markets, implementing more efficient operating processes and diversifying the company into new areas.

What do you wish you had known about this profession as a graduate?

As a graduate, I would have liked to know how important it is to keep up to date with new developments and how many opportunities there are in the professional world.

What advice do you have for students who are interested in this job?

My tip for students who are interested in this job is to gain practical experience and to approach people who are active in the market with an open mind.

In terms of your career, is there anything you would do differently looking back? Why?

Looking back, I would differentiate and prioritise earlier between topics that are absolutely "crucial" and topics that are "nice-to-have".

Is there anything else you would like to pass on to current students?

In general, I would advise students to be open to change, to keep learning and to develop a passion for their chosen field of work in order to be successful and fulfilled in their profession.
