Beschreibung: According to ICD-11, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex PTSD, adjustment disorder (AjD) and prolonged grief disorder (PGD) are 4 disorders specifically associated with exposure to stressful or traumatic life events. The relationship between traumatic and stressful experiences and trauma-and-stress-related disorders is influenced by many psychological factors. According to the socio-interpersonal model, empathy, cultural value orientation and fatalism are 3 important factors influencing PTSD, many previous studies s found that empathy, cultural value orientation and fatalism may influence trauma-and-stress-related disorders. Understanding the complex interplay between empathy, cultural value orientation, fatalism and trauma-and-stress-related disorders is crucial for developing interventions and support systems to address mental health outcomes. However, no systematic reviews focused on the relationship between empathy, cultural value orientation, fatalism and trauma-and-stress-related disorders. Therefore, this Bachelor thesis will summarize the influence of empathy, cultural value orientation and fatalism on trauma-and-stress-related disorders, and investigate the possible interaction of empathy, cultural value orientation and fatalism on trauma-and-stress-related disorders, and investigate the possible interaction of empathy, cultural value orientation and fatalism on trauma-and-stress-related disorders. The thesis and contacts with the supervisor will be in English.

Beschreibung: Experiencing a life-threatening cardiac event or disease can be traumatic and lead to symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. Cardiac-disease-induced Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CDI-PTSD) differs from traditional PTSD in a number of ways. There is already literature on prevalence and risk factors for CDI-PTSD (e.g. Vilchinsky et al., 2017: Cardiac-disease-induced PTSD, a systematic review). This Bachelor Thesis should review interventions to prevent the development of CDI-PTSD and treatment options for cardiac patients suffering from PTSD.
The thesis can be written in German or English.
