Promoting Teaching and Innovation

Enthusiastic, resourceful and gifted instructors create positive learning experiences and directly improve students’ prospects for the future. Here at UZH, we create new types of teaching and refine existing ones with a focus on innovation and quality.

In educational development, we rely on the expertise, creativity and commitment of our teaching staff and study program coordinators. We specifically encourage teaching staff to develop and test new ideas and teaching methods, and provide them with advice and financial support.
UZH Teaching Fund

Here at UZH, we are taking an experimental approach when it comes to designing teaching and learning spaces. We are also continuing to focus on the development of our campus as the main location for interaction and knowledge exchange. We are setting standards for mid- and long-term construction and renovation projects and a reference framework for concrete teaching development projects. Where possible, we also promote easy-to-implement updates, for instance hybrid teaching lecture halls and innovative study spaces that offer a range of learning options.
