Institute of Art History
This basic course aims at systematic teaching of digital core competences in sciences based on texts and images and at the ability to apply them to varying scientific questions. The focus is on cultural artefacts, in particular, textual and visual works, as well as their data modelling and (re)presentation in the digital context.
The course introduces the following topics:
Furthermore, this course enhances the competence to critically reflect on the digital transformation in order to understand its impact on education, research and society. Course contents are arranged in an interdisciplinary and practice-oriented way, that is by learning technical basics and testing hands-on different digital methods & tools from the various disciplines.
Open to bachelor's and master's students of all faculties (in particular, to students with only little previous technical knowledge and/or little experience in the field of digital methods and tools).
Hybrid course (presence and blended learning). Course takes place every 14 days on Tuesday, 14.15-15.45.
Creating a digital presentation. Active participation. 3 ECTS.
