Sustainability Team of the University of Zurich and Right Livelihood Centre of the University of Zurich
Students learn more about the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN. They learn that societal changes such as climate change, biodiversity loss, resource scarcity, economic stability and social inequality require innovative ideas of change.
Further subjects are the fields of action of the Right Livelihood Foundation (RLF). Knowledge as well as pragmatic action competences are to be promoted among the students through inter-, trans and multidisciplinary approaches.
They will learn that societal changes such as climate change, biodiversity loss, resource scarcity, economic stability and social inequality require innovative ideas of change. The topics this semester will all be from the field of transformative education for social change. In addition, students will learn how to moderate an event and write a press release.
In the Spring Semester 2023, the focus of this lecture series will be on topics from the field of empowerment. Therefore, the selected Right Lievlihood Laureates for hling presentations in this lecture series are leaders in advancing human rights and environmental protection by mobilizing communities and strengthening grassroots initiatives.
