Astrophysik

Das Minor-Studienprogramm Astrophysik (30 oder 60 ECTS Credits) bietet Studierenden eine breite Ausbildung in Themen, die sich von der Big Bang Kosmologie bis zur Formation und Struktur der Galaxien, Sterne und Planeten erstrecken. Studierende erhalten ein erweitertes Verständnis der Prozesse und Phänomene, die in unserem Universum stattfinden.

Studierende des Minors Astrophysik erhalten einen Einblick in die aktuellen Forschungsthemen der Astrophysik. Sie sind in der Lage, Forschungsergebnisse aus der Literatur zu extrahieren (wie z.B. über extrasolare Planeten oder Lebenszyklen von Sternen). Im grossen Minor (60 ECTS) lernen Studierende zudem die Konzepte der theoretischen Beschreibung des Universums (z.B. Allgemeine Relativitätstheorie). Der Minor Astrophysik kann (aufgrund der notwendigen Kenntnisse in Physik) nur von den Studierenden mit Major Physik gewählt werden.
