Do you want to gain an in-depth insight into the world of banks and financial markets? A Master's at the Department of Banking and Finance (IBF) will provide you with an outstanding training to assume demanding tasks in your future professional career or further education.The Master's study program in Banking and Finance consists of four specialized areas, namely banking, corporate finance, financial economics, and quantitative finance. A minor can be chosen among an array of further trend topics  such as sustainable finance or data science.

Thanks to guest lectures from business representatives and seminars offered in cooperation with companies, you will encounter the professional world right from an early stage.

What can I do with it later?

Our graduates are qualified to assume specialized or management roles of significant responsibility in the banking, insurance, and consulting industries and in the public sector. Careers as an investment banker, financial analyst, risk manager, portfolio manager or financial consultant represent only a small selection of a broad array of professional options.

Depending on the specialization of the minor study program, this Master's will open doors for diverse roles in different local or international companies from a wide range of industries. Moreover, suitable graduates with an interest in research have the opportunity to pursue doctoral studies.

Requirements

In order to be admitted to a Master's degree program, an applicant must me the requirements set out in the ordinance on admission to studies at the University of Zurich. Student Services review the application in this regard.
The Faculty will then subject the application documents to a specialized academic review and determine the applicant's level of study. The decision based on an evaluation of the curriculum of the program of studies completed, as well as other documents. www.oec.uzh.ch/en/admission-master

Requirements

All minor programs in Business and Economics at Master's level build on th knowledge gained from the common compulsory program completed during the Bachelor's program at the UZH Faculty of Business, Economics and Informati Students are expected to acquire any knowledge they are lacking through independent study.
