Please note that the following deadlines can not be extended.

Fall Semester Admission

Bachelor Medicine Application requires a registration at swissuniversities until 15 February. 1 January until 31 March
Bachelor with Swiss Qualifications

For late application an additional fee of CHF 300 is charged, not possible for prospective medical students.

Doctoral Studies Please note that a pre-application is necessary. For more information please see admission procedure. 1 January until 31 July
Swiss Mobility (Incoming) Students from other Swiss Universities 1 January until 31 July
Swiss Mobility (Incoming): ETHZ Students from ETH Zurich 1 January until Friday before begin of the lecture period
Applicants with visa requirements Prospective students who require a visa and are therefore dependent on receiving the admission decision in a timely manner for their visa application 1 January until 28 February

Spring Semester

Bachelor with Swiss Qualifications

Application for a specialized Master's degree program

Those interested in a specialized Master's program listed below must apply in two stages:

  1. Pre-registration with the department in question:
    Master of Science UZH ETH in Quantitative Finance
    Master's in History of the Contemporary World/Zeitgeschichte
    Master's in Wirtschaftsgeschichte
    Master's in Studi italiani
    Specialized Master’s study programs at the Faculty of Science
    Please note the pre-registration deadlines!

  2. Student Services will notify you of the next steps once you have received a provisional confirmation of admission from the department.

Applicants with Visa Requirements

Please note that prospective students who require a visa need the admission decision three months before their planned entry in order that the national visa D can be issued on time.

This is only possible if the deadline for applicants with visa requirements is met and all documents relevant for admission are available.
