Urgent Call to Change the Password

In the wake of the cyberattack last month on the University of Zurich, all UZH members were asked to change their passwords immediately. Stolen or weak passwords are a common gateway for cyber attacks.

UZH members who have not complied with this will receive a new request these days to do so immediately.

From April 4 2023, they will only be able to use their accounts again after they have changed their passwords in the Identity Manager.

This unavoidable measure was not taken at the beginning of the semester so as not to interfere it. However, it is now necessary for security reasons.

If you have not changed your passwords, do so immediately:

To protect the University of Zurich as well as your own individual data, all UZH members (students, employees, lecturers) are requested to change their passwords for all accounts in Identity Management immediately.
